| Pleasant Hills Curling Club
Pleasant Hills Curling Club is a non-profit organization. They have a membership of 900 people who pay an annual membership fee of $5000, which gives them access to participate in all league play. Members must pay additional entry fees for club tournaments. The membership fees, plus the revenue from the on site coffee shop and pro shop, are enough to keep the club in good repair and pay the salaries of a full-time club manager and three part-time maintenance people.
At the last annual meeting, the club membership instructed the Board of Directors to develop an outreach program that would encourage young people to get involved in curling. They also want to make the club more accessible to people with disabilities.
To accomplish these two goals, some renovations to the club are necessary to accommodate people in wheelchairs. Also, they would like to hire a part-time person who would teach young people how to curl and organize a young persons league. Young people in this league would pay a substantially reduced membership fee, requiring a subsidy for this league. Your job is to develop a fund development program that will both raise money for, and publicize the new youth curling league. This program should raise $50,000 per year, after expenses. The renovations will cost an additional $125,000.
